How the Directional Drilling Process Works
- We excavate a small launch pit at the surface and position the drilling rig next to it.
- A pilot hole is drilled along the desired path, monitored, and tracked from above.
- The bore is reamed to the required size. Pipes can be attached to the reamer and pulled back through, or the bore can be further reamed for larger pipes or bundled conduits.
- We use environmentally friendly drilling fluids to lubricate and stabilize the bore. These fluids also suspend the excavated material, which is then vacuum-excavated using our Vac Trucks.
